I also went fishing at Woolaston for the first time yesterday and totally agree with the previous comment. The lakes are in a beautiful setting, the water is clear and the fish put up a great fight and everyone were helpful and friendly.
Will be back very soon.
Kind Regards
Bernard

Been teaching my son Adam (13) to fly fish this year and Woolaston's the perfect place to start - Good value too. The beginners (Top Lake) is just the right size, is easily accessible and has ample room for a number of anglers to fish comfortably together at any one time, with few trees or hedges to snag. Add to this a stocking policy that creates an excellent balance that challenges the young / novice angler, yet sufficiently rewards them when they succeed in getting their technique / tactics right. By our third visit, Adam was thrilled to have cast, hooked, landed and dispatched his first trout without any assistance from me. Okay I selected & tied the fly (Ace Of Spades) to the line, but his confidence was such that he quickly followed-up his first with a further two fine rainbows. I think we're now ready to progress to one of the larger lakes that look equally inviting, so wish us luck!
Tight lines.

My wife and I spent a lovely 4hours @ your lakes last week.I caught 2 very nice fish around the 4 lb mark -1 brownie and 1 rainbow. Both fish were in excellent condition and fought strongly right to the net. The area around the aerators produced the fish .We were in the area on holiday and made most welcome interestingly I was pointed towards your fishery by a fellow angler.

Hi,
I really enjoy the fishing at Woolaston court as well as a cup of coffee and a chat with Stan as its such a beautiful place. I would like to fish more but as I am retired now and no longer have a car I was wondering if there is any one who lives in the Churchdown area who fishes at Woolaston court would be interested in sharing the traveling cost as catching the two buses is a bind. if anyone is interested please ring me on -- 01452 855854-- or e-mail me at -- clivanas@googlemail.com -- Clive Coleman.
